Smorgers Delicatessen has been sourcing locally made cheese for our catering business since 1998. All are locally made as opposed to factory-produced, often characterless imitations seen in supermarkets. In addition to our internet business, we also have a real shop, the `Cornish Delicatessen` in the town of St Austell Our prices are competitive and we offer next day postage to most UK addresses. If you have any questions, the best way to communicate with us is via e-mail as our delicatessen can often be very busy. Although you are shopping here for cheese we have many other products and catering services which we all run from our high street deli so please have a good look around our website!

Ambervale - Delicate flavoured semi-hard cow's cheese covered in orange wax. Especially popular with children.
Chatel (200gm rounds) - 200g rounds - Sounds very French but Ch'in Cornish is 'k' 'Katel' - cow's milk cheese. Camembert style brie.
Cornish Blue - Matured over a twelve week period this can vary in flavour from heavy to a sweet, light blue taste.
Cornish Nettle Yarg - Invented by Alan Gray in 1983. Hand wrapped in fine nettle leaves. Fresh, moist and slightly crumbly. Similar in texture to Caerphilly, Yarg is hand made with vegetarian rennet.
Cornish Wild Garlic Yarg - As above, but covered with wild garlic leaves. Garlic aroma but which is not over powering.
Cornish Organic Brie - Using organic pasteurised milk, suitable for vegetarians.
Cornish Tiskey Meadow - A semi hard, hand made pasteurised cheese made with full-fat cow?s milk. A naturally mould ripened cheese. Rich, creamy flavour with a characteristic clean tang. Sun dried tomatoes, basil, oregano and a hint of garlic without masking the true character of the cheese.
Menallack Farmhouse - Pressed for three days, turned daily for two weeks, then every four to five days the cheese is sold at a minimum of 6 weeks when it is fresh, quite crumbly and pleasantly sharp.
Miss Muffet - Pasteurised cow's milk mould ripened cheese using vegetarian rennet. A full, creamy, round flavour with a supple texture. Miss Muffet has her own growing fan club and we're full signed up members, this is one of our personal favourites.
Nanterrow - A Colummier-style cheese made with ewes' milk that the Minsons buy in. Sold vacuum-packed in 4oz portions cut from the hand made rounds.
St Anthonys Goats Cheese - A soft, young chevre style cheese.
St Endellion Brie - Delicious 'ripening' Brie made with Cornish double cream and cows milk. Pasteurised and vegetarian. Awards include:
British Cheese Awards 1998 - "Gold Medal".
IFE Award 1999 - "Silver Medal".
Tala - A vegetarian cheese. According to its texture, it ranks among hard cheeses. Although firm, Tala melts in the mouth. It has the sweet, aromatic, burnt-caramel taste and suggestion of lanolin and aromatic rosemary that is so typical of sheep's milk.
Trelawney - Pasteurised cow's milk mould ripened cheese using vegetarian rennet. This full fat cheese, cut and blocked using organic milk from a local herd of pedigree Ayrshire cows, gives a clean, full, lemon flavour with creamy aftertaste and slightly crumbly, moist texture.
Toppenrose Gold (100gm) - 100gm rounds- A small round cheese. Toppenrose Gold is made from pasteurised milk and double cream.
Village Green - A full fat hard goat's cheese made with pasteurised milk and vegetarian rennet covered in green wax. Awards include:
Royal Bath & West Show 1998.
Gevrik- baby Soft Goats Cheese - A soft, mould ripened goats milk cheese made in Cornwall. It has a clean and fresh taste with a wonderful nutty flavour. It develops a creamy melting texture as it matures. Made using 100% goats milk, "Gevrik" (meaning 'small goat' in Cornish) is a healthy and versatile cheese
